Pulse Compression Transmission Gratings

Pulse Compression Grating

The most important properties of pulse compression gratings are high diffraction efficiency and low wave front deformation due to multi-pass use requirements for the gratings. The laser pulse compression transmission grating is based on LightSmyth's record-breaking transmission grating platform. At 95% diffraction efficiency optimized for linear P-polarization, it allows our customers to minimize optical losses in the system, which is especially critical for high energy lasers.

    Advantages:
  • Exceptional diffraction efficiency for selected polarization.
  • Ultra-polished quartz substrate minimizes wave front deformation in transmission.
  • Uses only fused silica and highly robust dielectric materials.
  • No polymers or organics are used.
  • Each grating is a master; ultra-low scatter.
    Applications:
  • Pulse compression of pico- and femto-second pulses.
  • High power lasers.
  • Spectral beam combining.
